1973年、川久保玲が設立。81年にパリでデビューを果たした後はもっぱらフランスを活躍の場としている。服飾の既成概念を一度全て崩し去り、独自の感覚で再構築して出来上がるデザインは、多くの外国人デザイナーにも大きな影響を与えた。男女、年齢問わずに根強い人気を誇っている。また、カラーは特に黒が多い。変わったデザインが多く、ゆがみ、左右非対称のものが目立つ。

香水に関しては、いろいろなシリーズが発売されている。ナンバーのついた2、53、71等の他に、赤いボトル、黒、緑等スパイスだったり、ミントだったり、インセンスだったりと現在までに8シリーズを発売しています。(30/10/2006)

シリーズ化したり、コラボしたりととにかく頻繁に商品を発売しています。限定ボトルも多いため、新作なのか限定なのか判断がつかないものが多々あったりするのですが、以下のようにまとめてみました。シリーズものは、廃番になっているのかどうかも定かではありませんので、あえて無表記としてあります。(31/05/2013)
